Founded by Andy Keane amidst the North Yorkshire Moors, Jeger Guides & Outfitters is a development of the widely renowned Premier Deer Stalking UK. 

A former Royal Marine Commando, Andy served as a sniper and heavy weapons expert in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Following ten years’ service in the Royal Marines, Andy worked in counter terrorism operations throughout the Middle East and anti-piracy operations in the Indian Ocean. 

Over the past fifteen years, Andy has established himself as a respected and deeply knowledgeable member of the UK’s professional deer management community. A former Forestry Commission England Stalker, a Forestry Scotland Contractor, a DMQ Approved DSC witness, and a professional hunting guide, Andy is widely experienced in all aspects of deer management and conservation. As sole owner and operator of Premier Deer Stalking UK, Andy has introduced hundreds of clients from around the globe to the unique challenges and experiences of hunting large game within the UK and Europe.

Our co-founder Steve Kelly hails from the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia and plays a supporting role in Jeger Guides & Outfitters.

Raised in and around the rural QLD farming community, Steve spent many years working, alongside his day-job, with licensed QLD State Macropod (Kangaroo) harvesters in the control of Eastern Grey and Red Kangaroos. This experience provided Steve the gateway to formal close quarters and aerial firearms training across multiple platforms, culminating in feral pig aerial (helicopter) control programs contracted by various Australian State Governments.  

Steve’s been fortunate to apply his business practices in an industry he’s incredibly passionate about and is now in his third decade working in the international fishing and firearms industries. Working for and alongside America’s largest brands in fishing and firearms, Steve’s held prominent positions with some of the world’s premier privately owned international firearms distributors.

Both Andy and Steve share a passion for the great outdoors and hunting conservation, and both enjoy a jovial approach to life. Fortunate to have travelled and hunted in many countries across the globe, you’ll never find these two far from a cold beer and neither let the truth get in the way of a great story! They’ve been on some amazing hunting adventures, meeting life-long friends and immersing themselves in wonderful cultures along the way.
